BRIDS Projects a Stronger Market in 2026, Launches LIGA BRIGHTS to Boost Investor

Jakarta, 13 February 2026 — PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) opened 2026 by hosting its Market Outlook 2026 event titled “Fire Horse Strategy: Ready to Charge Ahead and Seize New Opportunities.” On the same occasion, BRIDS officially launched LIGA BRIGHTS 2026, a nationwide investment program designed to encourage sustainable participation from domestic retail investors.
BRIDS projects Indonesia’s economic growth to reach 5.1–5.3% in 2026, supported by improving domestic consumption, investment, and liquidity conditions. Public optimism is reflected in the Consumer Confidence Index, which rose to 127—the highest level in the past year. In the banking sector, money supply (M2) expanded by 9.6%, while credit growth has turned increasingly expansionary, signaling strengthening economic activity. Meanwhile, global interest rate easing may open opportunities for capital inflows into emerging markets such as Indonesia.
Domestic stability remains Indonesia’s differentiating factor amid global uncertainty. Although external pressures—including the direction of global interest rates and geopolitical dynamics—continue to influence markets, the national economy is supported by steady growth, controlled inflation, and resilient domestic consumption. These conditions keep investment opportunities open, particularly for investors who apply selective and disciplined strategies. Amid market fluctuations, bonds remain attractive as portfolio stabilizers, making a combination of equities and fixed income instruments an important strategy for maintaining stability and optimizing returns.
BRIDS believes that a positive outlook requires more active domestic investor participation to ensure sustained market strengthening. Rising transaction volumes and consistent retail investment are key indicators in maintaining both stability and growth in Indonesia’s capital market.
Chief Economist, Macro Strategist & Head of Debt Research Division at BRIDS, Helmy Kristanto, stated that these conditions provide a solid foundation for the capital market. “This year, the impact of economic policies is beginning to materialize. Purchasing power is improving, liquidity is ample, and business activity is increasing. Historically, such conditions are often followed by capital market strengthening. Disciplined investors have significant opportunities to capture this growth,” he said.
BRIDS maintains that a combination of equities and bonds remains relevant in 2026. A more stable global interest rate environment and accommodative domestic monetary policy create room for fixed income instruments to remain attractive as portfolio stabilizers, while equities offer growth potential in line with improving corporate fundamentals.
To support this, BRIDS launched LIGA BRIGHTS 2026, an investment activation program integrated within the BRIGHTS application, offering total prizes worth billions of rupiah. The program encourages consistent investments in equities, mutual funds, and bonds throughout 2026. BRIDS hopes to cultivate long-term investment habits while increasing transaction volumes and deepening the domestic market.

Acting President Director of BRIDS, Fifi Virgantria, explained that LIGA BRIGHTS was designed to strengthen retail investor engagement through an integrated digital approach.
“Through LIGA BRIGHTS, we aim to encourage customers to invest more consistently and strategically, not merely to increase transaction frequency. Public confidence is beginning to recover, reflected in retail sales growth of around 3–4% year-on-year. This improving purchasing power momentum must translate into broader investment participation to further strengthen domestic liquidity and support healthier capital market stability. Ultimately, the BRIGHTS ecosystem is expected to contribute to sustainable market growth,” she stated.
The program launch was further strengthened through a gathering with Investment Managers, enabling customers to gain deeper insights into fund management strategies and product options aligned with their financial goals.

Founder of Feng Shui Consulting Indonesia, Yulius Fang, described 2026 as a year full of momentum that nonetheless requires financial discipline. “The Year of the Fire Horse brings optimism and swift movement, but success lies in calm and gradual strategy. Investors should manage cash flow wisely, avoid overconfidence, and focus on consistent growth. Slow and steady wins the race—steady progress toward advancement delivers more sustainable results,” he said.
Through a combination of market insight, digital innovation, and industry collaboration, BRIDS is optimistic that 2026 will serve as a momentum to expand the retail investor base while strengthening the role of the domestic market as a key driver of Indonesia’s capital market growth.
