BRIDS Provides Scholarships to 12 High-Achieving Students

Jakarta, September 1, 2026 – Higher education is one of the main foundations for developing superior and competitive human resources. However, access to higher education in Indonesia still faces various challenges. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia's Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) for Higher Education reached only approximately 32,89% in 2025. This situation indicates the significant educational access disparity that needs to be addressed through collaboration among various stakeholders, including the private sector.

As a commitment to supporting equitable access to education, PT BRI Danareksa Securities (BRIDS), a subsidiary of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, has once again distributed scholarships this year through collaboration with Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE) with a total value of Rp120,050,000 to 12 high-achieving students with financial limitations from various state universities (PTNs) throughout Indonesia. This program is part of BRIDS's implementation of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER), which focuses on developing the quality of Indonesian human resources.

This year marks the fourth year of collaboration between BRIDS and KSE Foundation. Since its inception, the program has benefited approximately 49 students from various state universities in Indonesia, with total assistance amounting to Rp476,517,920. For BRIDS, sustainable CSER programs are realized not only through consistent program implementation each year, but also through efforts to build young generations with greater opportunities to complete higher education, enhance competencies, and become talent capable of contributing to national development.

In line with an international study, UNESCO's Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report 2026 states that expanded educational assistance can increase participation of disadvantaged groups in accessing higher education. The report also shows that needs-based educational grants can help reduce dropout risks and improve timely graduation rates, especially when accompanied by student mentoring programs and capacity-building initiatives.

Commitment to Education as Long-Term Investment

Fifi Virgantria, Acting President of BRI Danareksa Securities, stated that investment in education is a long-term investment that will provide lasting impact for Indonesia.

Comprehensive Capacity-Building Support

In addition to financial support, the KSE Foundation's scholarship program is complemented by various capacity-building initiatives, including leadership training, character development, competency enhancement, and networking programs among scholarship recipients. Through this approach, scholarship recipients are expected to develop into graduates who are not only academically excellent, but also possess leadership qualities, social awareness, and readiness to face the working world.

Through sustainable CSER programs, BRIDS will continue to present initiatives that provide tangible benefits for society.
