Launching New Feature on BRIGHTS App, BRIDS Targets 70% Increase in Transactions and 150%

Jakarta, July 3, 2025 – PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) has officially launched two new features on its online trading platform, BRIGHTS: Stock Recommendations and Smartinvest Mutual Funds. This initiative is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its digital services in the retail segment. BRIDS aims for these new features to boost the number of new customers, increase daily transaction volume, and grow mutual fund Assets Under Management (AUM), both from existing and prospective clients.
The launch, held at the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in Jakarta on Thursday (3/7/2025), is part of BRIDS’s broader effort to provide individual investors with a faster and smarter investment experience amid the ongoing digital transformation of the capital market.
According to data from PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) as of May 2025, the number of stock and mutual fund investors rose to 7 million and 15.6 million respectively, marking an increase of approximately 22% and 25% compared to the same period last year, which recorded 5.7 million and 12.1 million investors. Mutual fund investors continue to dominate the total Single Investor Identification (SID) numbers in Indonesia, which now stand at 16.5 million.
Considering this growth potential, BRIDS President Director Laksono Widodo stated that these new features are in line with the opportunities created by the increasing number of retail investors in both stocks and mutual funds.
“We are targeting the Stock Recommendations and Smartinvest Mutual Funds features to help acquire up to 30% more customers, growing from 315,000 to 415,000 customers, and to contribute to a 70% increase in daily transactions, from around IDR 175 billion to approximately IDR 300 billion per day by year-end. Additionally, we believe this launch will support our goal of growing the company’s mutual fund AUM by 150%, from IDR 400 billion in 2024 to IDR 1 trillion by the end of 2025,” he explained in a written statement.
The Stock Recommendations feature on the BRIGHTS app offers investment picks tailored to investors’ risk profiles and investment horizons, including:
-
Bekel Buat Besok: short-term stock picks that can be traded the next day;
-
Stockpick: daily stock recommendations for medium-term investment;
-
Target Price Fundamental: target prices based on fundamental analysis, suitable for long-term investors.
Meanwhile, the Smartinvest Mutual Funds feature allows users to optimize idle funds in their Customer Fund Accounts (RDN) by automatically allocating them into mutual fund products, thereby efficiently enhancing potential returns.
BRIDS Director of Retail & Information Technology Fifi Virgantria explained that these features are designed to meet retail investors’ needs for more intuitive solutions that can adapt to market dynamics.
“We want customers to enjoy an investing experience that is faster, smarter, and more convenient. With the technology and data we have, we believe the opportunities for returns can be maximized,” said Fifi.
Going forward, as part of the rollout of these new features, the company will also run promotional programs such as trading competitions, launch extensive campaigns through social media and its marketing channels, and continue its commitment to investor education, leveraging its network of more than 50 distribution branches across Indonesia.
