BRIDS Advances Capital Markets Through Rigorous Research, Earns Global Recognition

Jakarta, August 20, 2026 – Throughout 2025 and into early 2026, Indonesia's capital market has navigated significant dynamics, ranging from Bank Indonesia's interest rate cycle adjustments and commodity price fluctuations in nickel and coal, to a shift in investor interest toward mid and small-cap equities. Amid these market movements, the demand for sharp and timely capital market research has become increasingly critical for investors—both individual and institutional—as a foundation for sound investment decisions.
PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) has been honored as the winner in the Best for Research (Indonesia) category at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, announced by Euromoney in July 2026. This recognition marks a continuation of BRIDS' achievement in the same category at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence stands as one of the oldest and most respected awards in global banking and financial services, held for over 30 years and evaluating financial institutions through a comprehensive benchmarking framework encompassing structured submissions and quantitative data from participants across more than 100 countries.
Fifi Virgantria, Acting President Director of BRIDS, expressed that the recognition reinforces the company's research team commitment to delivering independent, relevant analyses that investors can directly utilize as a foundation for decision-making. "We will continue expanding our research scope and adopting new technologies so that our research findings are accessible faster and more relevant to all our clients, while supporting the deepening of Indonesia's capital market," said Fifi.
The award is also supported by BRIDS' research track record throughout 2025. Thematic macroeconomic research consistently published by BRIDS' Chief Economist and Macro Strategist, Helmy Kristanto, not only provided relevant market direction insights but also earned recognition from cross-institutional clients.
Several of BRIDS' macroeconomic strategy reports throughout the year demonstrated accuracy in identifying policy direction shifts. The report "In Search of Parallels," released on March 17, 2025, anticipated the potential for an aggressive Bank Indonesia rate-cutting cycle, before BI subsequently entered one of its most aggressive easing phases in the second half of 2025. Subsequently, the "New Paradigm" report on September 15, 2025, projected strengthening banking system liquidity, shortly before the government announced placement of Rp200 trillion in idle funds at state-owned banks.
This solid research performance also contributed to BRIDS' business performance in the debt securities issuance segment. Bond issuance transaction volume grew 49% in 2025, continuing 86% growth in the previous year, while maintaining BRIDS' position as the largest government bond broker. Corporate client numbers increased 29% in 2025, following 44% growth in 2024.
In the equity segment, the research team led by Erindra Krisnawan as Head of Equity Research, supported by four analysts with dedicated sector coverage, encompasses sectors that collectively represent the majority of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) market capitalization, with the banking sector alone accounting for 43.2% of total research coverage based on market cap.
Beyond routine publications comprising daily investment ideas, weekly sector updates and fund flow summaries, quarterly market strategy, and thematic reports on specific developments, BRIDS' Chief Economist and Strategist has actively contributed beyond capital market scope. Throughout 2025, he served as committee member of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), served as speaker in various strategic forums including the 2025 Investor Relations Forum at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, annual industry forums including the cement sector and several major corporations, as well as group discussion forums with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Contributions have also extended into academic circles through involvement in seminars and knowledge-sharing sessions at universities. These collective activities reach retail investors, corporations, regulators, academics, and students alike, while expanding BRIDS' research role as a data-based reference in understanding market dynamics.
Beyond routine publications, the diverse research needs of institutional clients have also driven demand for bespoke studies in emerging sectors such as data centers and renewable energy—two sectors increasingly attracting investor attention amid Indonesia's energy transition and digital economic growth.
Looking ahead, sectors such as digital infrastructure and renewable energy are expected to become new drivers of Indonesia's capital market, as more research institutions expand their analytical coverage into these areas to help investors capture opportunities early.
