BRIDS and Pegadaian Introduces Gadai Efek Online Across Indonesia Download

Jakarta, 05 December 2025 — According to OJK data as of May 2025, PT Pegadaian remains the dominant player in the pawn industry with a market share of 96.59%, underscoring its leading role in meeting national pawn-based financing needs. This dominance is reflected in its September 2025 financial statements, where loans disbursed grew significantly to Rp261 trillion, far higher than Rp182 trillion in the same period in 2024. In line with this, OJK also recorded a 30.92% yoy growth in pawn industry financing disbursement in September 2025, reaching Rp111.68 trillion, indicating strong liquidity needs within the community through pawn services.

From the capital market perspective, data from the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) shows that the number of capital market investors in Indonesia reached 18.66 million as of September 2025, growing 33.8% from 13.94 million in the same period the previous year, with 99.7% still dominated by retail investors. This growth reflects an expanding segment of the population actively investing and potentially requiring liquidity alternatives.

Responding to these trends, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS), together with Pegadaian, introduced the Gadai Efek Online service on the BRIGHTS application. This service provides retail investors with a liquidity alternative by allowing them to use their IDX80 stock portfolio as collateral without having to sell their securities. The securities remain under the customer’s ownership, ensuring they continue to receive all corporate action entitlements such as dividends, stock splits, or other rights.

The strength of this service lies in its fully digital submission and limit-checking process through BRIGHTS. With this digital mechanism, fund disbursement can be completed as early as the same day (H+0) and up to a maximum of three working days, depending on document completeness and verification. Customers may apply for loans starting from Rp1 million, with a loan-to-value range of 45.5%–58.5%, a maximum tenor of 90 days (extendable), and an interest rate of 0.0417% per day.

Acting President Director of BRIDS, Fifi Virgantria, emphasized that this innovation strengthens BRIDS’ competitive edge. “BRIGHTS is one of the pioneers in providing digital access to securities-pawn services. This convenience offers added value for retail investors who need fast, secure, and non-face-to-face liquidity solutions.”

Director of Marketing, Sales, and Product Development of PT Pegadaian, Selfie Dewiyanti, stated that the Securities Pawn Service is a liquidity solution that enables customers to obtain financing facilities without having to release their investment assets. It can be used by individual and institutional investors who own shares or bonds listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and meet the criteria for securities pawn collateral. With a digital-based submission system, processes from verification to fund disbursement can be completed more quickly, easily, and securely. Pegadaian continues to strive to provide financial solutions for all segments of society, including through the Securities Pawn Service, which is expected to support customers’ financial flexibility while preserving the potential growth of their investment value.

To expand capital market literacy and understanding of securities-pawn services, BRIDS and Pegadaian launched the Eduvest Roadshow 2025 across various cities. This initiative not only introduces the service but also encourages more mature financial behavior and provides modern, accessible liquidity options for retail investors. The synergy between the two institutions is expected to strengthen the role of retail investors and help create a more inclusive and competitive capital market.
